We've spent the majority of this year implementing some new tools for campaigns with advertising agency partners and also working on outsourcing part of a client's marketing department for direct mail by multiple users.
Because we like to be known for innovative solutions that no-one else in our market can deliver, it's time to share some of what we've done, so that you might get some inspiration for your own projects, or those of your clients or your friends.
We're genuinely excited about how we've helped our clients re-engineer some of their thinking, and how we've helped them implement meaningful, measurable campaigns that deliver real-time results — but due to the need for discretion in most cases, (and the non-disclosure agreements we have in place) the clients and agencies we're referring to today will remain un-named.
Boomerang Direct 360 Campaigns.
We helped an agency partner with surveying their client's members using a Direct 360 campaign. Using personalized landing pages and postal replies, we measured the response rate at 28%. The perceived age divide about internet use seems to be disappearing! Take a look at these statistics: 53% of the campaign's response came through postal response and
43% responded online even though the client's membership base is considerably older.
Online responses give marketers an immediate gauge of campaign response and costs less: you're saved the cost of return postage and the cost of data entry for mailed responses.
One of our clients that was in-between agencies asked us to not only help with their direct mail strategy, but also asked us to help develop the direct mail design and copy. The early returns look successful and we are already planning a more comprehensive strategy for 2008 in cooperation with their newly appointed agency.

We just completed three more Direct 360 campaigns for one of our partner's hotel clients. These campaigns built on the success of our spring efforts and once again achieved stellar response rates (6% - 7%) through our campaign management, execution and tracking, and our partner's strong direct strategy and excellent creative.
Data.
This year we have introduced new data services including Customer Profile Modeling, Predictive Modeling and Data Appends to help our clients better target their best customers and achieve direct marketing success.
We helped one of our agency partners' time-share clients with our Customer Profile Modeling, to learn what their best members “look like” across many different segmentation dimensions, then find new prospects that are just like these members.
Finally,
Boomerang Direct Express. We have been working with some real estate companies on Oahu to create an integrated and intuitive ordering process for direct marketing to help them acquire agents as well as empower and retain existing agents with powerful and easy-to-use direct marketing tools.
